Sweetgreen tapped an awardwinning LA artist to deck out their Fashion Island location.
With pops of magenta, blue, and green, the color palette is inspired by Sweetgreen’s organic ingredients and Newport Beach’s surf-infused culture. Organic shapes in punchy hues convey optimism and the vibrancy of Sweetgreen’s brand. The best part: It’s a one-of-kind photo op.
The 15' x 18' mural, titled “Move with me in time and space,” is by LA-based Caroline Geys Design Studio. The artist gridded out each panel to hand-draw on the tiles, using dozens of different brushes to achieve the final look. This is Geys’ first foray into Orange County. The new Sweetgreen, which opened in August, is the second OC location to feature the brand’s Infinite Kitchen technology. It leverages automation for the assembly process. Since its founding in 2007, Sweetgreen has been on a mission to build healthier communities by connecting people to real food, sourcing quality ingredients from farmers and trusted suppliers.
Sweetgreen is located between Urban Outfitters and Mendocino Farms, next to Bloomingdale’s. Parking is available steps from their front door.
