Voluspa, the Orange County-based luxury candlemaker, is celebrating 25 years of scents and sensibility. From humble beginnings in a California kitchen to a global presence in over 100 countries, Voluspa has pioneered the concept of the scented candle as an artful and impactful element of home décor.
Founded in 1999, Voluspa revolutionized the industry by elevating the vessel to an art form, equal in importance to the aroma itself. Each fragrance, from Bourbon Vanille to Santiago Huckleberry, is crafted with rare, globally-sourced ingredients. At its Irvine HQ, Voluspa meticulously handcrafts each candle, using a proprietary coconut wax blend free of harmful additives like sulfates, phthalates, parabens, and pesticides.
“In the early days, our candles were oriented towards gifting, with innovative packaging,” says co-founder Troy Arntsen. “The brand has evolved to become a means of personal expression in your home through scent and design.”
The exclusive global flagship store, which first opened in February 2019, is Voluspa’s only brick-and-mortar location worldwide. At this elegant space, customers can explore the complete Voluspa line-up, including seasonal offerings and new collaborations. The boutique is designed to inspire and provide a personalized experience, helping customers craft their own unique “household fragrance story.”
